Your winning the auction constitutes a contract to purchase. If you didn’t want to pay that price for the car, you shouldn’t have bid on it. It’s too late to negotiate now.

Government (federal, state, local) auctions are held all the time all over the country. They are not scams. You can find them yourself and most are open to the public. However, if you subscribe to one of the directories offered online, some are OK and some are not. Understand that these sites are not auction sites themselves. They don’t give you access to auctions. What about “winning the auction” do you not understand? You have an obligation to pay the amount of the winning bid. There is no “haggling” after the auction closes.

Buying a car on line is not a good thing. First off, you can’t test drive it, you can’t get a mechanic to look at it and more often then not, it an “as is sale” no warranty no nothing…Absolutely no buyers remorse. Even if you go to an auction in person, you are still buying it in “as is condition” with no warranty, you can’t test drive it or take it to a mechanic to check it out. Go to a reputable car dealership personally and find a reliable car.
